Kerosene records3% rise in Oc­to­ber, says NBS

THE AV­ER­AGE PRICE per litre paid by con­sumers for Kerosene in­creased from N297.28 recorded in Septem­ber to N307.23 in Oc­to­ber, rep­re­sent­ing 3 per­cent growth, the Na­tional Bu­reau of Statis­tics (NBS) said in its Na­tional House­hold Kerosene Price Watch for Oc­to­ber re­leased last Fri­day.

The bu­reau said the price of Kerosene in­creased by 3.35 per­cent month-on-month and 12.36per cent year-onyear.

States with the high­est av­er­age price per litre of kerosene to in­clude Ogun N346.30, Enugu N348.33 and Abuja N360.67.

Kogi at N261.11, Abia N218.08 and Borno N240.44 were states with the low­est av­er­age price per litre of the com­mod­ity.

Ac­cord­ing to the bu­reau, the av­er­age price per gal­lon paid by con­sumers for Kerosene in­creased by 12 per cent month-on-month and by 2.86 per cent yearon-year.

The price per gal­lon paid by con­sumers for kerosene in­creased from N1,127.05 in Septem­ber to N1159.33 in Oc­to­ber.

The re­port named the states with the high­est av­er­age price per gal­lon of kerosene as Katsina at N1273.33, Ek­iti N1277.78 and Ebonyi N1279.38 while Delta N1035.15, Yobe N1050 and Akwa Ibom N1066.36 were states with the low­est av­er­age price per gal­lon of kerosene.
