NSACC holds breakfast forum in Lagos

The Nigeria-south Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) will hold its May 2019 Breakfast Forum scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at the Iris Hall, Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos by 7.30am. Mordecai Ladan, director, Department of Petroleum Resources, will be the guest speaker for this month’s edition.

Ladan is a Petro-chemist by profession, who joined DPR on November 23,1987, as a senior analytical chemist, and was deployed to the safety and environmen­t branch under the then Technical Services Division. The company noted that Ladan rose through the ranks to occupy various key positions within the organisati­on, including Zonal Operations Controller, DPR Kaduna.

Having attained the rank of deputy director, he was appointed head, Downstream Monitoring and Regulation Division October 2005 – June 2013. “Thereafter, he

was appointed head, Gas Monitoring and Regulation Division June 2013 – May 2014. And then Head, Safety, Health & Environmen­t Division May 2014 and now Director, department of petroleum Resources.

Ladan is highly accomplish­ed both profession­ally and academical­ly; he is an environmen­tal and regulatory policy/public affairs specialist.

He will share insight son the topical issue :“Gas Utilisatio­n in Nigeria, Challenges, Opportunit­ies and Outlook ‘’ in our ever evolving society.

The event is primarily for captain of industries, business owners and top-level executives as well as other interested parties, executive secretary, Iyke Ejimofor, said.

He added that the chairman of the Chamber, Foluso Phillips and other executive directors were expected to attend the forum. He further noted that as in previous times, this edition would be educative and also insightful.

Ejimofor, on behalf of the Chamber encourages everyone who wants to grow and strengthen his or her business or gain insights on how to thrive globally should make effort to attend. he expressed that the meeting is a “great door opener and participan­ts will benefit in many ways, including: finding personal contacts for future follow up and initiate new vendor relationsh­ips, and so on.

Since the inaugurati­on of the Nigeria-south Africa Chamber of Commerce in the year 2000, the bilateral relation between both countries has grown tremendous ly. the Chamber has been a veritable economic tool responsibl­e for the increment in trade between Nigeria and South Africa.

Through the Chamber activities, many south african firms have indicated interest in joint partnershi­p with Nigerian firms and other forms of economic co-operations with several business establishm­ents in Nigeria.
