The company reduced cost of sale from N2.22billion to N1.15billion, resulting in revenue growth from N15.54billion to N18. 62billion . Net operating expense however rose from N7.39billion to N9.20billion. Notwithsta­nding, gross profit rose N16.48billion from N13.32 billion while profit.after tax rose to N4.99 billion from N4.11billion. Each shareholde­r earned N5.24 per share. However, following the general weak market sentiment, OKOMU lost 1. 09 percent between.january.and.april 2021. The company is one of those that. pay fairly good dividend at N3.50 per.shre and has record of 23.2 percent. return on equity.

PRESCO gained 1.47 percent four months into 2021 when the bears dominated the market. PRESCO price rally followed an impressive 2020 result when the company grew. revenue from 19. 72 billion in 2019 to N23.89 billion. Gross profit increased from N12. 72billion to N15.08billion.

The fall in interest expense from N2.13 billion to N1.92.billion led to increase in profit after tax from N3.83billion to N5.26billion, resulting in incre.ase in. earning per. share from 374 Kobo to N516 kobo. For the 2021 first quarter, PRESCO grew revenue from N4.37billion to N7. 92 billion. Cost of sales. however, rose to N1.51billion. from N1.17billion while distributi­on expense increased to N0.105billion from N0.050billion. Yet profit after tax was bettee at N3.84billion from N1.80 billion.

CAP’S full year result showed marginal increase in revenue from N8.41 billion to N8.73 billion with profit after tax down to N1.22 billion from N1.74 billion. In Q1 2021Q1, revenue dropped from N2.31billion to N2.09billion. In spite of this, the company’s share price tended North with 11 percent capital gain between January and April 2021 due to its merger involvemen­t.
