Adebutu/akinlade pact: Amosun has no deal with Ogun PDP - Aide

- By Razaq Ayinla

ibikunle amosun, former governor of ogun state has dissociated himself and his all Progressives congress (apc) caucus in the state from alliance and sharing formula agreement purportedly entered into by ladi adebutu and adekunle akinlade, both the governorship candidate and running mate of the Peopl’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election.

it will be recalled that the social media was awash with a leaked document that shows how political appointments will be shared between adebutu and akinlade when they are both elected as governor and deputy governor of ogun state in the next year poll as witnessed by the PDP chairman in the state, Sikirullahi ogundele and others.

Some social media reports however, linked ibikunle amosun, senator, representing ogun central Senatorial District and former political godfather of adekunle akinlade, who contested on the platform of the allied People’s Movement (APM) in 2019 but lost, with the sharing formula of appointments within the PDP.

consequently, amosun distanced himself with the political arrangements within the PDP, as the press release signed by Bola adeyemi, his media aide described the media report as false and malicious, urging members of the public to discountenace it.

“the attention of Senator ibikunle amosun has been drawn to media reports, claiming that he has entered into a political deal with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ogun State and Hon. oladipo adebutu.

“We wish to state that the report is false and malicious. Senator amosun has No agreement with neither Hon oladipo adebutu nor the PDP in ogun State.

“this story is nothing more than a mischief to mislead the public and discredit the hard-earned reputation of the former governor of ogun State.

“We have stated before and wish to state once again, categorically, without any fear of contradiction that, Senator ibikunle amosun, has nothing to do with the PDP in ogun State. and he is not a party to any alliance formed with anyone or group of persons in the party.

“the public is advised to dismiss the report,” the statement read.
