He said the suffering customers interests must be taken care of through digitisation, adding that a new way of banking was envisioned through Signature Bank to deliver solution to the citizenry.

According to him, Signature Bank is driven by a gap identified by repeated poor responsiveness to customers needs and the challenges experienced by customers in their financial dealings.

He said the journey began in 2017, with nine months thorough scrutiny by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and commended the apex bank for its diligence in approving the bank.

Otti said customers increasing yearning for digital solution to banking necessitated the need to open Signature Bank, saying, “the demand of customers is not a tall order from our bank and must be met”.

He said the customers needed a bank that would meet their aspirations and put them first, “this is why Signature Bank was set up”.

He said that Signature Bank “is a Bank that looks at the future with innovation; and we are pleased to welcome those who have been with us for actualising this and those who will join us soon “

Dr Mutiu Sunmonu, the Chairman, Board of Director, Signature Bank, commended those who contributed to delivering Signature Bank, which he described as “a sustaining financial sector”.

He said Otti was cleared to achieve his aim at revolutionisimg the financial sector, adding that this was what prompted him to establish Signature Bank.

He commended those who had taken it upon themselves to deliver a sustainable financial institution by establishing the bank.

“Dr Alex Otti was very clear in his vision to revolutionalise the financial institution and impact the lives of customers in a positive way; he has always been passionate about creating operational efficiency.”

“This is through digital solution and excellence, and it was easy for him to identify and align the expectation, especially in delivering superior customer experience.”

He said the bank was the realisation of joint aspirations, saying they had established a bank that would provide customers with accessible borderless financial services

Also, Niyi Adebayo, the Minister of Science and Technology, in his goodwill message commended the founder and others behind the idea of Signature Bank, describing the idea as noble.

“I congratulate the shareholders of this laudable institution; the name itself projects what we expect from the institution.

“I pray it brings joy and happiness to all those who bank here,” he said.
