Nigeria, Ghana creative firms compete for honours at LAIF

AS the advertisin­g industry gets ready for the 2022 edition of the Lagos Advertisin­g and ideas festival (Laif) awards, over 400 entries have been shortliste­d for the awards.

this was disclosed by the Chairman, Lagos Advertisin­g and ideas festival (Laif) Management Board, Lanre Adisa, while speaking on the forthcomin­g edition of the award shortly after the completion of the jury sittings.

According to Adisa, a total number of 17 creative agencies from nigeria and Ghana will be competing for awards in different categories including Print, film, Outdoor, Digital Craft, Campaign, film Craft, radio Craft, film Craft among others.

He expressed delight with the participat­ion and the shortlist of work from Social Ghana, an Accrabased creative agency for making history as the first agency out of nigeria to achieve such a feat. He added that the Laif Awards is poised to becoming a preeminent Sub-saharan Advertisin­g festival with participat­ion from other West African countries.

“We are very excited that a creative agency from Ghana, Social Ghana, will be making history as the first agency outside nigeria’s shores to participat­e in the award. it validates our goal of building Laif to be a worthy and respected sub-regional award festival”, he said.

the list of agencies that will be jostling for recognitio­n and honour at the event include 7even interactiv­e, Dentsu Creative, DKK & Associates, imaginariu­m Marketing Communicat­ions, X3M ideas, IMS Advertisin­g, insight Publicis, isobar, Leo Burnett, Livespot Media, neukleos Marketing Services, noah’s Ark Communicat­ions, Ogilvy nigeria, Onewildcar­d, Social Ghana, Spice 360 and tequila nigeria.

the 2002 Laif Awards which is the 17th edition of the celebratio­n of creative excellence by the Advertisin­g Agencies Associatio­n of nigeria (AAAN) is billed to hold at the Landmark event Centre, Victoria island, Lagos on Saturday, november, 26, 2022.
