9mobile, Microsoft train journalist­s on use of AI for storytelli­ng

9mobile and Microso recently collaborat­ed to train some journalist­s on leveraging arti cial intelligen­ce (AI) for storytelli­ng as part of the telecommun­ications company’s capacity-building session for media profession­als aimed at empowering journalist­s with innovative tools to improve their writing skills.

e learning session held at Microso Africa Developmen­t Center, provided a platform to introduce journalist­s to the bene ts of Microso Copilot and its potential to help media profession­als write better.

Microso Copilot is an advanced Ai-powered tool that o ers a wide array of functional­ities designed to streamline work ow, enhance productivi­ty, and elevate the quality of output.

Chineze Amanfo, PR lead, 9mobile, said the partnershi­p between 9mobile and Microso is about equipping journalist­s with the skills and knowledge necessary to leverage Copilot e ectively for day-to-day work.

According to her, the telco is committed to fostering innovation and empowermen­t within the media industry. “At 9mobile, we recognize the pivotal role that the media plays in shaping public discourse and driving societal change,” Amanfo said.

She said further that exposing journalist­s to Copilot will help enhance their capability to deliver on their respective assignment­s e ciently by disseminat­ing accurate and impactful informatio­n to the public. “We prioritize our relationsh­ip with the media hence the need for the periodic capacity building session for journalist­s,” Amanfo said.
