- By Temitayo Ayetoto-oladehinde

PRIVATE sector-led DNA testing centre has expanded its operations to Lekki as rising incidence of paternity fraud drives demand for such tests.

Smart DNA with its new facility is targeting demand for DNA testing services from the highbrow neighborhood of Lekki, Ajah, and Epe areas, as well as surrounding communities.

Committed to providing fully accredited DNA testing services in accordance with the highest international standards, the expansion aims to make a comprehensive range of DNA tests more accessible to residents across Lagos and beyond.

“We are thrilled to open our new office in Lekki, bringing our trusted DNA testing services closer to vibrant communities of this rapidly developing area,” Esther Ehimare, client experience manager at Smart DNA said in an official statement seen by Businessday.

“This strategic expansion aligns with our mission to offer convenient, accurate, and confidential DNA testing solutions to individuals and families across Nigeria.”

A few studies by geneticists have indicated that 60 percent of firstborn children do not belong to their supposed fathers. Individual reports of exposed affairs resulting in paternity fraud have also contributed significantly to a growing interest in confirmation of genetic ties, creating a crucial service gap for companies such Smart DNA.

At the new Lekki office, clients can access a full suite of DNA testing services, including paternity tests, maternity tests, sibling tests, grandparent tests, diagnostic, wellness, and disease predisposition tests.

The company emphasising its commitment to simplicity, accuracy, confidentiality, and affordability has assured that its operations are not predisposed to compromise.

With non-invasive sample collection methods, fast turnaround times, and competitive pricing, the company aims to provide a seamless and trustworthy DNA testing experience for its clients.

“We understand the importance of reliable DNA testing results and prioritize maintaining the highest standards of quality and privacy,” added Elizabeth Digia, operation head at Smart DNA.
