The Minister of Education, MalamAdamuAdamu, has flagged-off the Nigerian Skills Qualifications Framework and handed over operational licenses to awarding bodies and sector skills councils, including the Skills Care Development Organisation.

The chairperson of Skills Care Development Organisation, Mrs Angela Ajala, said the license empowers the organization to operate as a sector skills council for care, health and education of children as well as ensure that people involved in the sector are doing the proper thing.

The Council Secretary, DrOlubukolaDosunmu, said the council would reach out to their colleagues in private schools in order to enlighten them further.

She said issues concerning children’s education, health and care would now be done in a standardized manner across the country, to help sustain and ensure competence skills.

The National Skills Qualifications Framework aims at promoting lifelong learning by offering opportunities for training to meet needs arising from technological and economic development.
