Kicking off!

-

The 2018 edition of the massively attended Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has come and gone but the memories will linger for some time. As usual, foreigners lead by the East Africans stole the show as they swept away all the top prizes. Kenya-France runner, Abraham Kiprotich took home the star prize in the male category while Ethiopia’s Alemenesh Herpha Guta took home the star prize in the female category.

Although they couldn’t cope with the pace and endurance of the East Africans, Nigerian runners too were not left out of the largesse as Iliya Pam, Sharubutu Philbus and Kefas Williams smiled home with cash prizes.

In our cover story, our correspondent in Lagos who was among those who took part in the international race serves you all that transpired during the 43-kilometer race.

Read the cover story and find out how ambitious Nigerian runners chased the East Africans in vain for the third year running.
