Hon. Salisu Iro Isansi, where are you?

-

We, people of Katsina Central Federal Constituency need to see our member in the House Representatives Honourable Salisu Iro Isansi from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Since we spent our time and voted him, we have not seen him as he neither visit us nor do we know what he is doing in the National Assembly.

Have you forgotten us so soon after your election? We are ready to recall him if he doesn’t change.

Muhammad,

It is amazing that despite the have by COVID-19, it is reported that there are only 169 ventilators in sixteen states of Nigeria. This is really sad as experts say the country need about 1000 of the machines. We must not hesitate to get more before the virus eats us up. Part of the monies from organizations, governments and individuals should be used to procure theese life saving machines.

It is just the wise decision for the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to instruct Distribution Companies (DisCos) to suspend the proposed hike in electricity tariffs which would have taken effect from April 1, 2020. Considering the COVID-19 trauma, this is a wise decision not to add to an already dire situation.

Though, NERC has slated June 30 as the new takeoff date, I will suggest that the implementation will go further than that.

More ventilators, please

Kudos to NERC

Appreciating COVID-19 donors

he spirit of Nigerians in times of need cannot be overemphasized. This can be seen in the handsome donations by Nigerians, organizations and governments towards nipping COVID-19 pandemic in the bud. However, a sound of caution is to ensure the utilization of these donations for the cause they are meant for. Accountability should be the watchword.
