Anger over Shekarau’s ‘volatile states’ comment

-

What is the good faith in Shekarau’s statement? When did he get his voice on this issue? Do yourself a favour to ask him how much he was paid to talk the way he did. Which people is Shekarau leading? Where did Shekarau find his voice after the longest silence about the insurgency in the North? When did Shekarau become a security expert to talk about insecurity of the country? What has Shekarau done to check the insecurity in the North when he was governor? What contributions are his comments likely to form in the quest for peace? Let Shekarau be told that Jonathan is not a sellable product. That politics of deception cannot make a politician; that you cannot be talking as pro-Jonathan in Abuja and anti-Jonathan in Kano.

He doesn’t know what he is saying. Why didn’t he say it before? Why saying it now after joining the PDP? He’s just saying it to gain political relevance. Period!

Only in a state where laws are something else would Shekarau talk in this way. Is he saying that there won’t be peace for the next nine months in the North East? Shekarau is now desperate to register his presence in the PDP, not minding anything else. God willing, there must be election in the North-East and PDP shall bow out of Aso Rock come 1015. It is unfortunate that Shekarau stooped so low for political relevance. His speech is nothing but an attempt to register his presence in the party that fails all. Rubbish!

Malam Shekarau had spoken well. Safeguarding people’s lives and properties should be given much priority than focusing on election. Those who talked and expressed dissatisfactions on the former governor’s statement misunderstood the message and perhaps they might be those who have political dreams in the volatile region. May Almighty Allah protect our lives and give us an everlasting peace in our country.

Shekarau has spoken well and precisely too. As a people’s leader, he is always concerned with what happens to the people as against thinking for himself alone. There cannot be sanity in a place of insanity. A good leader should not only see things based on his benefit. Naturally, nothing good can take place in crisis environment. If the situation persists, definitely no one will go out to vote because voters love their lives more than risking them for election.
