he National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Reverend Felix Omobude, has enjoined Muslims and Christians in the country to guarantee genuine national growth by tolerating one another.

Reverend Omobude stated this when he led some of his national executive members on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris at his palace.

He advised Muslims and Christians to embrace one another as a means of addressing the lingering crisis in Nigeria, adding that the adherence of the religions should consider credibility in 2015 and not sentiments.

“I am from Benin city and we value our tradition so much. So, I thought it is wise not to visit Kaduna without paying homage on you.

Essentially, I am a man of peace who believes in peace and that is the reason why I am going round the states across Nigeria to advocate for peace, and now in your palace for your blessings.

“Nigerians should be ready to elect credible leaders of their choice not party. We should take undue advantage of 2015 and rate those who have been in leadership and see whether they have really served the people and fulfilled their promises,” Omobude said.

Responding, the Emir thanked the cleric and his entourage for the visit and advised them to sustain the search for peaceful coexistence in the country.

he Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has called on the new acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Suleiman Abba to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the challenging task of tackling the current insecurity and to ensure effective policing of the nation. National President of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, while addressing newsmen yesterday, also commended President Goodluck for choosing Abba, saying the President wants the best for the country.

“I believe Jonathan is concerned about the security of this country that is why he brought an experienced officer like Suleiman Abba to tackle the insecurity we are facing. Mohammed Abubakar did his best for the nation. We believe too that Abba will continue from where Abubakar stopped, because the insecurity is already taking its toll on all,’’ Bodejo said.

He called on officers and men of the Nigeria Police and the entire nation to give Abba maximum support to succeed in his duties.
