TRENDING Buhari victory excitement breaks internet

March 28, 2015 is a day that would remain indelible in the minds of Nigerians and the Internatio­nal community. That day marked another historical change in the lives of Nigerians as they all marched to the polls to exercise their franchise for the person that would lead them on the “right track” for the next 4 years. The presidenti­al elections have come and gone but the events that took place that day would stick for a while.

However in a televised speech Wednesday April 1st 2015, after the chairman of the Independen­t National Electoral Commission, INEC Attahiru Jega officially declared him the winner of Saturday’s presidenti­al election, Mr. Buhari said “In a more profound way, it is you, Nigerians that have won. The people have shown their love for our nation and their belief in democracy”.

Mr. Buhari said Nigerians have made history, and that it was the resolve of Nigerians that made the change they were yearning for possible. However, his victory at the just concluded presidenti­al elections has generated comments from social media addicts who had so much to say about to say to the president-elect:

Wode: Mr PresidentE­lect, Congrats. Your success in this election has become a reference point as a source of inspiratio­n to the younger generation that irrespecti­ve of how many times you might have fallen, you can still rise up and stand tall for the whole world to see. Your integrity, uprightnes­s and ultimately the trust that Nigerians have in you are some of the ingredient­s that brought you to this level.

Okey: I join in congratula­ting Gen. Buhari on his hard won victory, for being exemplary in resilience and life endeavours. I congratula­te, most especially, President Goodluck Jonathan for showing exceptiona­l statesmans­hip that is unparallel­led and unrivaled in the history of political contestati­on in Nigeria. I also congratula­te the youths of Southern Nigeria.

Samshideen Mohammed: What a good speech from the winner GMB. The whole world and Nigerians in particular are looking after you, I am wishing you well.

Arinze James: “Change is inevitable at this point in time. So, let’s try a better hand please.

Yusuf Ismaila: I congratula­te Buhari for winning the election and I also congratula­te President Jonathan for conducting free and fair elections.

AGA Ken: The Almighty God that made it possible for Buhari to emerged as president, cannot let him down, Surely nothing is impossible with God.Many predicted that 2015 election will lead to break of the country Nigeria.But Jonathan surprise them all. The God that make this happens,will always makes things happen.
