n Abuja-based philanthropist, Reverend E.B Ringson has called on the people of Plateau State to come out in their numbers and vote the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Simon Lalong on April 11.

Reverend Ringson, who is an indigene of Mangu in Plateau State, in a press release issued in Abuja, hinged his position on the ground that Senator Gyang Pwajok of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lacked the requisite cognitive ability to direct the ship of the state to the required level. He explained that from he knew about Mr Lalong of the APC, he believed that he was the right man for the job as he possessed the necessary capacity and awareness to open up the state for massive infrastructural and economic development through both private and public investment.

He said he was ready to attract massive investments to Plateau State so as to contribute his own quota in the development of the state if Mr Lalong was elected.

Rivers State police command yesterday confirmed the killing of nine persons by unknown gunmen at Obirikom, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ahmad Muhammad, who confirmed the story said no traditional ruler was killed in the attack but pointed out that the house of APC House of Assembly candidate in the area was set ablaze by the rampaging gunmen.

“It was at about 19:30 hours of yesterday when some unknown armed men invaded Obirikim/Ogba communities and went on shooting spree, killing nine, injuring two persons and setting ablaze the house of Vincent Ogbagu, an APC House of Assembly candidate. No traditional ruler was among the victims” he said.

He said police has started manhunt for the criminals and appealed to the public to assist in making available credible information to the police as to arrest the culprits.
