Buratai owns assets in Dubai - Nigerian Army
Why didn’t the General buy the houses in Nigeria?
Please, we need to ask some questions. How much are military men collecting as salary that he is able to afford houses in Dubai? Why didn’t he buy the houses here in Nigeria? This matter should be thoroughly investigated.
Why are Nigerians more interested in living abroad? Why can’t we invest in our country? We need to have a rethink. He should have purchased houses in Nigeria, not Dubai. The problem is not about owning assets but the means through which they were purchased. Even if there is nothing to show fraud, the act sends a bad signal; it’s only in Nigeria that this type of thing is considered normal.
The Chief of Army Staff is into snake farming. He generates a lot of money from that business, so he can afford to purchase properties worth millions of Naira in Dubai.
Please the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should investigate this matter.
The constitution allows citizens to move about freely and to own property anywhere as long as they are legally possessed. If you have money, you are allowed to enjoy it.
This is the work of the opposition because the man is doing well in the army. Nobody can smear the name of the Chief of Army Staff. God will definitely see him through.
General Buratai is a sincere and genuine officer. Besides, nobody is perfect, we can over look this one.
If this government truly want to make progress, then it should have a benchmark. It should carry out proper checks before making appointments. General Buratai will not be distracted by unfounded allegations. We need to know how he got the money to buy those houses.
It’s not a crime to own property anywhere but the means through which it is acquired is the issue.
Even if he owns a property in Dubai, does that mean he is corrupt? He collects salary and he also has a business? I strongly believe that some people are just attacking him because of the good job he is doing in the army. Is there a law banning people from buying houses abroad?
