- by ABUBAKAR ABDURRAHAMAN DODO

As part of their corporate social responsibility, manufacturers of food seasoning ONGA participate in wedding ceremonies. Mr. M.B Umar Hankaka along with some management staff of Promasidor, the manufacturers of ONGA and Cowbell at an event last saturday, said “ONGA is accustomed to sponsoring traditional marriage activities in the northern part of the country, as it is doing the same thing in supporting women August gathering in the south east,” he said.

The couple testified to the fact that they received cartons of ONGA and some food items. “My bride received cartons of ONGA and food items and representatives of the brand at their wedding. But, however, the Divisional Sales Manager North of Promasidor, Muhammad Ebije, said some wedding ceremonies donot attract huge gathering, and for this reasoning we often take advantage of wedding ceremonies to showcase our products for the public to judge for themselves. According to him: “Kano is our largest market in the northern part of the country that’s why we often sponsor traditional activities in order to discharge our corporate social responsibility.” The regional sales manager North, Mr. Monday stipulated that ONGA is now a household name, as well as a leading food seasoning in this part of the country. “Many attimes we used to donate the sum of thirty thousand Naira cash, 10 – 15 cartons of ONGA and about 30 – 40 chickens whenever and wherever we deem it fit to support traditional marriage activities. But our priority is the women activites, hence our contribution often go straight to the bride.”
