The reinstatement and promotion were very unnecessary. The action punched the anti-corruption fight of the current administration. I urge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to ensure that Abdulrasheed Maina is charged to court as soon as he is found.

It was with a heavy heart that I received the news of Maina’s reinstatement. How could something like that happen under an administration that claims to be fighting corruption? I hope the government will get its act together and prove to Nigerians that it is indeed ready to fight corruption.

If a court clears Maina, the only thing government can do is to recall him. Let us wait and see how things progress from here.

This is the height of impunity. I don’t know where Nigeria is heading to. I pray God delivers us.

The reinstatement was a big blow to the anti-corruption fight. The president has to work hard and ensure that all those who want to sabotage him are dealt with.

The best way out is for the president to drive away all those in the Villa who do not share the same vision as him. He should also ensure that anyone found guilty of any crime is made to face the law. People like Maina have no business in the civil service.

I urge all those commenting on this issue to ensure that they have the facts. There is more to it than meets the eye. Legal issues must be treated with caution.

The current administration needs to do more on the fight against corruption. It is sad that many cases are still yet to be decided.

I thought that by now, Maina will be in jail. I was really shocked to hear that he was back to the civil service. Such is not good for the country. Some corrupt persons may be emboldened by that action to continue to steal public funds.

It is sad that we are where we are today. Fight against corruption was the major point in the current administration’s campaign during the elections, but so far not much has been achieved.

Nothing shocks me anymore in this country. It appears that corrupt persons are determined to sink this country. May God help us all. He wasn’t found guilty of any crime.

I still can’t believe something like that can happen under this administration.
