29 months after, agencies still without boards
The problem is that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) are not on the same page. Most government organisations have become redundant due to lack of boards. This matter needs to be looked into as soon as possible.
The most important thing is to look at the contributions of the boards to the development of the agencies and the amount of money spent on them. Left to me, the boards should not be reconstituted.
I don’t know where this current administration is heading to and its plans for Nigerians. A lot of things are not going well and the government needs to look into the situation as soon as possible.
The APC needs to get its act together. This government is over two years old, yet many agencies do not have boards. It is not good enough.
It is important for this government to know that time is running out. Very soon, we will be talking about elections. I think the president is doing his best to make things right.
There is no money to pay the chairmen and board members, so there is no need to reconstitute them.
I don’t think there is any problem, after all work is still going on in those agencies that do not have boards. The boards are unnecessary. Gulma
I urge the president to constitute the boards. 2019 is around the corner and the government should make hay while the sun shines.
I am a supporter of the president and the current government but I want to say that Buhari has not done well in the area of board appointments. Constitutionally, some agencies and commissions cannot function without boards. The lack of boards is affecting the smooth operation of many government offices.
I respect my president, but I don’t know why he is slow in taking some major decisions. Many people worked hard for the APC to defeat the PDP; those people should be adequately compensated.
Nigeria cannot continue to operate like this. The president should act now. All necessary appointments should be made as soon as possible.
I’m really disappointed. I expected a lot more from this government. I hope things change soon.
Constituting the boards’ amounts to waste of money. We don’t need them. This development does not speak well of the government.
I don’t think the absence or presence of boards makes any difference in the way agencies operate.
Truly, the boards ought to have been constituted a long time ago. The government should tell us the reason for the delay. The vacant spaces should be filled by APC members who worked for the party during the last election. The absence of boards can also lead to corruption. We need the boards as soon as possible.
