Orelesi: I can improve Super Eagles’ defence

-

Aformer international Nurudeen Orelesi has claimed he has what it takes to solve the Super Eagles’ left back problems.

The versatile left full junior back who is known for his powerful and accurate long shot has been in impressive form for his Albanian club Vllaznia Shkoder, scoring four goals in nine matches this season.

Speaking from his base in Albania, the player praised the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for qualifying Nigeria for the World Cup and equally hailed the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation for the visionary appointment of the Franco German coach.

The player stressed that the Super Eagles have what it takes to do well at the World Cup in Russia, “because I so much believe in the coach.”

“The current players in the team have done well and I believe they all deserve their places in the team and if I am given the chance, I believe I can make an impact.

“People are saying the Super Eagles have problems in the defence especially the left full back position, but I think the defence has not done badly as people think.

“One thing I know is if given a chance, I am sure I will do my best to fortify the team’s left full back position”, he stressed.

Orelesi represented Nigeria at the Fifa under 20 World Cup in Russia.
