El-Rufai plans to sack 4,180 LG workers – NULGE

-

I am with the governor on his plan to reform the education sector and even the local government in the state. If people are qualified for the offices they occupy they will not be afraid of reforms. The governor is only trying to correct the wrongs of the past and he should be supported. We cannot continue like this as a nation. Bitrus Bulus

What Governor Nasir El-rufai is about to do will plunge the state into further crisis. He should not sack anybody, Already, we have many unemployed people. We shouldn’t add to the figure. The governor can retrain the teachers so that they can do better. Garba Mohammed

People are just coming up with stories to make the governor look bad and sabotage his efforts at reforming the education sector. There is no plan to sack local government workers. The governor has my support to continue with his reforms. He should sack unqualified teachers. Auwal Moga

My problem with this is that workers are always the target. When will people go after unqualified politicians? Auwalu Alhassan

I will be glad if the governor extends the reform to the local government because the workers there are not doing anything. Many of them don’t report for work, yet they receive salaries at the end of the month. Zakariyya Gadaka

He should sack those who need to be sacked. But the governor should also be mindful of the danger of having many unemployed people in his state. I don’t think that will be good for the state’s economy. Kabir Umar Ibrahim The scripts vindicated the governor. Good job, Sir. Arrahman Kunle There is no need for panic. I don’t think the governor will sack anyone. Bala Dahiru Ibraheem

What El-rufai is doing is good governance and he should be supported. Tasi’u Makarfi

Local government workers should be screened because many people who claim to work there live outside the state. Ahmad Gula

There is nothing wrong with what Governor Nasir El- rufai is doing. Other governors should emulate him. Baba Kura Mustapha

In the first place, unqualified people should not have been employed. So, sacking them should not be an issue. It is the right thing to do. Emmanuel Isa This is what we need. Good job. Arrahman Ismail

I urge the governor to consider the effect of his decision on the people. Thousands of innocent persons will suffer if these teachers are sacked, just as crime rate will increase. Isyaku Saidu

This is a good move. The governor should tackle the issue of ghost workers. Umar Tukur
