“Being focused and patient is key”
love my profession.
Growing up was fun and adventurous. I grew up in a very big and caring family. There was a lot of going to schools - especially Islamiyya. My family is a family that values Islamic education. It was fun and enlightening. Interview by Nana Asma’u Salisu Gwadabe is a journalist, human rights activist, entrepreneur and the Editor of Concern Magazine, published by Consultancy Services Limited. In this interview, the Kano-born journalist shares her professional and personal life with Tambari. Working with so many important personalities documenting their projects and successes in life is so rewarding. Personalities like former Governors of Jigawa, Sule Lamido and Kano, Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, and my present boss, Adamawa State Governor, Senator Mohammad Umaru Jibrilla (Bindow).
I grew up aspiring to be an entrepreneur with a happy family and always giving comfort to the less privileged. Basically to inspire people not to give up.
I miss being pampered by my late mother, the joy to just do what I feel like, and my grand mum’s prayers. There is no joy bigger than the joy of being a mother: it’s like the peak of happiness.
I wake up in the morning, pray and start to plan my day. I make the necessary phone calls - breakfast - and go to work, come back home, plan for the next day and spend some time with my family, with prayers and food built into the routine (smiles).
