Airport etiquette

-

Travelling can be pain, but the experience can be made worse when people don’t observe the proper manners and don’t behave in the way they should. Unless you are travelling first class, you are going to put up with what everyone else is going through. Here are some basic etiquettes to observe to see that you are not a terrible passenger passing through the airport.

Don’t bring strong smelling foods: The airport literally has little space for fresh air to go in and out; same goes on a plane. So eating foods with strong smells will probably irritate a lot of people around you. If you must, eat it in the food court, where it won’t bother anybody and you can enjoy your meal in peace.

Clean up: After eating or drinking, always throw away your trash in the allocated bins. If everyone did that, do you think the airport would be in the clean state you met it?

Control your kids: Kids are naturally loud and energetic. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have any control over how they behave in public. Focus on keeping them busy

WORTHY OF NOTE:

TRAVELLING TO CELEBRATE, DINE OR MINGLE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY THIS XMAS, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A LITTLE GIFT WITH YOU. so that they don’t bother your fellow passengers too much.

Follow the queue: If you meet a queue, be civil enough to follow it and not butt in. They got there before you, and everyone is in a hurry to check in. If you want to be first in line, then come earlier next time.

Give your seat to the elderly: Out of respect, give your seat in the lounge or waiting areas to any elderly person you may see if there are no free seats. It is right to do so

Don’t be noisy: It is fine to hold a conversation, but loud laughs, shrieks and shouting will make everyone around you despise you.

Be nice to security officials: It is their job to ensure that all the rules are obeyed. Questioning or shouting at them for doing their job will only waste your time and theirs. You know the screening procedures, so don’t make things difficult for anyone by acting rudely to them.
