Buhari Inaugurates Campaign Council Tomorrow
President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday inaugurate his Presidential Campaign Council for the 2019 General Elections.
The event, according to the spokesperson of the council, Festus Keyamo, would be held in Abuja.
He said those expected at the ceremony are members earlier announced as members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The council is chaired by President Buhari while a national leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu will serve as the co-chairman. The Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and the APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole are to serve as the deputy chairmen.
A former governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume and a former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani are to serve as Vice Chairmen, North and South respectively.
Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi who was Director General of Buhari’s campaign council in 2015 retained his position.
The duo of Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora and Arch Waziri Bulama would serve as the Deputy Director General (operations) and Deputy Director General (Coordination) respectively.
It was gathered that after the inauguration, the President would embark on a rigorous campaign in the six geopolitical zones of the country.
Recall that the President had penultimate Friday flagged off his campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Also, last Thursday, the President inaugurated a 700-member women and youth campaign team chaired by his wife, Aisha.
