Dangote, Kachikwu, others honoured for contributing to nation’s progress
AUK-based consulting firm, These Executive Minds (TEXEM), has honoured some Nigerians for contributing immensely to the progress of the nation and her citizens despite the difficult economic times.
In a statement from the organization, the honour was essential to appreciate the trailblazers with the hope that it would encourage and spur them to continue to add value and positively impact society.
Among many individuals honoured are Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman, Dangote Group, for unparalleled contribution to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, for inspiring effective governance, Mr John Momoh, CEO, Channels TV, for outstanding leadership excellence in media, Mr Dapo Olorunyomi, Publisher, Premium Times, for unparalleled contribution to the independence of the media in Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Ahmad, CBN Deputy Governor, for impressive promotion of diversity and Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo, MD, Fidelity Bank, for immense contribution to growth of SMEs.
Chair of TEXEM, UK, Dr Alim Abubakre, said the award is TEXEM’s way of inspiring others to “raise their game” as well as encourage distinguished individuals of excellence who have gone above their call of duty.
Previous winners of the award are Mallam Kabiru Yusuf of Daily Trust and Mr Sam Amuka of Vanguard.
