Albanian’s KF Vllaznia sign Christopher from Jos’ Derby Academy
Former Derby Football Academy of Jos, Plateau state attacker, Izunna Christopher has completed a one year deal with Albanian giants, KF Vllaznia, Daily Trust reports.
Daily Trust confirmed that the talismanic striker signed a one year contract last Thursday plus 3 years option for club if he was able to impress in the first year.
Christopher, 19, one of the most talented players of the academy has put pen to paper to seal the deal on an undisclosed fee and would start his career from Europe.
In a chat with Daily Trust, Christopher said he joined KF Vllaznia - one of the biggest club in Albania in order to develop himself and also win trophies.
He said, “I would be in Albania to win things, even though I want to develop and learn as a player, and get to experience a new club. KF Vllaznia is a huge club. I want to win trophies. I am ready to learn and accept new challenge.”
In his his remarks, Sporting Director of KF Vllaznia, Mr Aleksander Firat during his visit to Nigeria last Thursday described the forward acquisition as the beginning of the best thing to happen to the club as they are about to kick off the second of the league.
Mr Firat also commended the partnership between Derby Football Academy of Jos and KF Vllaznia.
He said, “Our partnership is a mutual benefit for both parties as we hope to get more talents from Derby Academy.”
