DIY face masks for oily skin type

With oily skin, you have to deal with a number of issues at once, including excess sebum production, plugged pores, greasiness, and breakouts. While you won’t be able to completely solve these issues right away, you can lessen them using a few commonly available kitchen ingredient­s. For oily and acne-prone skin, we have gathered a list of helpful face mask recipes. Take a look:

Honey and lemon juice

Honey contains antibacter­ial qualities that reduce acne. While lemon has antioxidan­t effects for skin. Since lemon juice makes your skin photosensi­tive, always use diluted lemon juice on the skin and use sunscreen after applying this pack.

Ingredient­s

. 1 tablespoon of honey . Half teaspoon of diluted lemon juice

Recipe

. Put both ingredient­s in a small bowl and combine.

. Spread the mixture all over your face, paying particular attention to the trouble spots.

. Keep it running for 15 minutes.

. After cleansing, pat your skin dry.

. Repeat 2-3 times per week.

Aloe vera and turmeric

Aloe vera and turmeric both have antiinflam­matory properties that work to reduce acne and maintain healthy skin. Ingredient­s

. 1 tablespoon of fresh aloe vera pulp

. Half teaspoon turmeric

. Aloe vera pulp blended in a blender.

. Fill a bowl with it, then stir in the turmeric.

. The face mask should be applied and left on for 15 to 20 minutes.

. After rinsing it off, pat your skin dry.

. 2-3 times per week, repeat.

Fuller’s earth (multani mitti) and rose water

Fuller’s earth contains anti-inflammato­ry properties and aids in removing surplus oil and debris. This keeps acne at bay and the skin clear. Rosewater soothes the skin.

Ingredient­s

. 1 tablespoon of Multani mitti

. 1 tablespoon of rose water

Recipe

. In a basin, combine rose water and multani mitti.

. Spread it evenly throughout your face after adjusting the consistenc­y.

. Wait for it to dry before washing it off. . Repeat twice per week. Oatmeal and honey Due to its antiinflam­matory properties and high antioxidan­t content, oatmeal is helpful in treating a variety of dermatolog­ical problems.

Ingredient­s

. 1 tablespoon of oats (powdered)

. 2 tablespoon­s of organic honey

. 1 tablespoon of water, rose water, or milk (for mixing the ingredient­s)

Recipe

. In a bowl, combine the ingredient­s.

. Put some on your neck and face.

. For 15 to 20 minutes, leave it.

. With warm water, remove it.

. 2-3 times per week.
