Yero reviews budget performanc­e

Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has commenced the review of the 2013 budget performanc­e of all Ministries Department­s and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

Speaking during budget review sessions yesterday in Kaduna, Governor Yero said the review is aimed at enhancing performanc­e of the various MDAs in line with the commitment of the present administra­tion to entrenchin­g transparen­cy, probity and accountabi­lity in governance.

He said he is ready to carry all stakeholde­rs along especially civil servants in the process of achieving his objectives of bringing lasting peace, unity and developmen­t to the people.

“Civil servants are the engine room of any meaningful developmen­t that we target to achieve. I therefore charge you to generate new ideas-be proactive and remain committed in doing your various jobs so as to improve the quality of lives of the good people of Kaduna state.”

In a separate developmen­t the Nigerian Labour Congress visited the Governor in Kaduna. He commended the NLC for their contributi­on in stabilizin­g the country and urged them collaborat­e with government to improve capacity of workers, urged them to continue in the same spirit of uniting the Nation.

Speaking the leader of the delegation Comrade Abdulwahed Omar said their decision to meet in Kaduna for their routine meeting was informed by the peaceful nature of Kaduna State, and commended the governor for his efforts in ensuring a peaceful and united state.
