To hang a dog, give him bad name

The episode involving the alleged bombing of the convoy of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, should alarm any one. But on the other hand, does it surprise anyone? After the Senate appointed a panel to probe the incident, I ask myself: is this not the same Senate committee under Mohammed Magoro that said that those that killed in Apo were Boko Haram members? So what is wrong if they conclude that they see Ali Ndume or Magnus Abe in Rivers State through the same prism and treat them the same way?

Re: Tukur reaches out to Akpabio and

Jang to save job

Why is Bamanga Tukur wasting his time on this? After all, many people in this country are fed up with the PDP because of its policies and programmes. Most of those rooting for Jonathan cannot even deliver their wards come 2015, because they do not visit their constituencies to identify with the hopes and aspirations of their constituents.

Anti-gay law

The US and Canada should go to hell. Why can’t they give people who want to commit suicide, robbery, murder, etc, the freedom to practice in the name of freedom and right as that is what those people enjoy doing most? ‘Carry go’, Mr President, next thing we expect from you is a law on child rape. Let it come early. ATUNG L. Kanwai, Abuja, +2347061187161 The reaction of the United States to Nigeria’s recently-signed law prohibiting homosexual marriage is to be expected. It is equally preposterous. There is no international legal obligation for Nigeria to promote homosexuality and its offshoot “same -sex marriage.” Neither is the law inconsistent with any provision of our constitution regarding human rights, etc. Nigerians must remain steadfast in opposition to the attempt by Western powers to impose values and practices that demean humanity itself.
