Kaduna Igala Muslims hold prayer

-

Igala Muslims resident in Kaduna State would be holding a prayer session on Sunday in Kaduna for peace to reign in the state and Nigeria in general.

Organized by the Council of Ihsan Community of Nigeria (CIMCON), Kaduna State chapter, the umbrella organization for Igala Muslims resident in Kaduna, the three-hour prayer session would start from 9am and is taking place at the LEA Primary School, Adamawa Road, in Kaduna North Local Government Area.

The CIMCON Chief Imam, Malam Jibrin Adam and his deputy, Malam Yahaya Abubakar, would lead other Islamic scholars for the congregational prayers which would involve all Igala irrespective of ideological and sect leanings.

Amir of Kaduna State CIMCON Malam Mikhail Ibrahim said the prayers have become necessary and timely in view of the situation in the country. “Though death is inevitable, many of our people have died recently due to many causes; we want to seek Allah’s intervention to grant us His bountiful mercies in the general welfare of our people.

“With the insecurity generally in different parts of the country, we are going to pray for peace to return to every facet of the nation,” the Amir said, adding that Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has worked hard to maintain peaceful existence throughout the state, adding that “it is necessary that we assist him in a our own way through the prayers we would hold on Sunday.”

Ustaz Shehu Ahmad Bello who is going to lead a segment of the prayer session said the event was not just timely, but equally necessary, “because with prayers, you may be availed with mercies from Allah (SWT). As a Muslim, you do not wait until there is problem before you seek Allah, engage in prayers always which is what we do every Saturday at the Al-Furqan.

“For a true believer, prayer is like a double-edged sword, so it is good to pray and pray always. The next Sunday prayer organized by the CIMCON is going to be fervent so that we can receive Allah’s mercies and grant us peace in all facets of our lives,” Ustaz Bello said.

He also urged all Muslims to be sincere in dealings among themselves and people of other religions, saying Allah would accept our prayers if we repose in totality our abiding faith in Him alone. “It is one of the conditions for Allah’s acceptance of a Muslim’s prayers, if he/she trust solely in Allah without ascribing a partner to Him or nursing any doubt,” said Ustaz Bello who leads the weekly prayers session at Al-Furqan in Kaduna.
