Re: FG moves to transfer ex-gov Ibori home

This government under Jonathan has never seen anything wrong with corruption. With the support of the Senate under the leadership of Mark, the government is doing everything to favour their kinsmen and political friends to the detriment of the national interests; and they are getting away with it because we call ourselves Christians. But Christianity is all about Love and Discipline. If I may ask: where were the Nigerian government and judiciary when Ibori looted his state and country and was moving about freely, until he was caught, tried and sentenced in the UK? Or is the Nigerian prison environment better than that of the UK? What is the motive behind this so-called prisoner transfer agreement with the UK? I think this is to pave way for another state pardon to a high level thief, because as their corrupt mind is telling them that, “after all he took from what belongs to him”. Re: Wars without blood: Should hate speech be criminalized? (I)

Rather outright

than criminalization a reorientation process and programmes directed towards taking us back to those human values focusing more on our differences and emphasizing more on our common humanity and how to use these to improve our situation. We must be ready to accept and call a spade by its name and for our leaders to lead by example .You cannot expect to start a hatewaragainst a people and expect to be applauded. Hello! We are still down here!

As a concerned student of a tertiary institution, I feel compelled showcase my utter disappointment at the Nigerian media, particularly this one, regarding the longdrawn strike by polytechnic teachers. Despite the paramount role we play in the society, and the lengthy period we spent on this dread strike, media houses have not deemed it of interest to recognise our plight. We have not been in cover pages, not in the middle pages either; not even portrayed in cartoons! This is very sad and unfortunate. ISMAIL Mohammed, Bauchi, +2348024706096
