Appointments&Promotions Sa’a Ibrahim appointed MD of Kano TV
Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State has appointed Hajiya Sa’a Ibrahim as Managing Director of the state owned Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV).
Kwankwaso in a statement by the Commissioner for State Affairs, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam said the appointment was with immediate effect.
Until her appointment, Hajiya Sa’a who was born on the 18th April 1960 was the Director of Radio Kano FM. Hajiya Sa’a who hails from Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State had her BSC in political science at the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto in 1983.
In her bid to enhance her journalism career, Sa’a went to the University of Jos where she obtained a diploma in Radio Production in 1986, and proceeded to the Bayero University, Kano for masters in Public Relations.
She started her career in journalism as Radio Kano Producer 11 from 19841985 and became Unit Head [Women & Children] from 1985 to 1986
Sa’a Ibrahim worked with Radio Deutsche-Welle for a two year period as producer of women programme from 1986-1988; then again as news presenter Deutsche-Welle from 1991 to1993.
She was also Unit Head [FM] ,Unit Head [Women & Children CTV 67] , Manager Programmes [CTV 67], Manager Programmes [FM Kano], Deputy Director [FM Kano], Director [FM Kano] and as a member, Social Mobilization Technical Committee in charge of 10 states under UNICEF Bauchi.
She also worked as a Member of the State Advisory Panel for the DFID funded State Accountability and Voice Initiative - SAVI Support and Nurture Linkages between the Media, CSO’s and the State House of Assembly, among others.
Sa’a Ibrahim who is a member of many professional organisations has since resumed duty as the MD of ARTV.
