Katsina to spend N22m on public toilets
About 40 toilets worth N22 million are to be constructed in public places within the Katsina State capital in order to address the issue of public defecation.
Executive Director, State Environmental and Protection Agency, Yunusa Charanchi, said this yesterday while speaking to newsmen in Katsina.
Charanchi, who blamed public defecation for a number of diseases, added that the toilets will go a long way in addressing the menace.
He said the toilets would be constructed at motor parks, markets and other public places and that his agency will be responsible for their maintenance.
Charanchi called on persons who indulge in the act to consider the health implications, adding that it’s always best to use a public toilet whenever nature calls.
