Customers lament non-supply of pre-paid meters

-

Customers of Ikeja Distribution Company (IKEDC) in Lagos have lamented non-supply of prepaid meters by the company five years after they paid for them.

Mr Aderemi Bamise, chairman of Community Development Association, Igbogbo also noted that the attitude of the workers of the power company on the issue has worsened the problem in the area.

Bamise, who spoke during the company’s customer’s consultative forum and sensitization campaign in Ikorodu at the weekend, decried the regime of estimated billing and urged the company to ensure customers are appropriately billed.

But the company’s Assistant General Manger Public Affairs, Mr Pekun Adeyanju, advised that its customers, communities under its network, should henceforth desist from contributing money for electricity workers to buy transformers, cables and other installation equipment.
