- From Johnkennedy Uzoma, Owerri.

The Supervising Minister of Foreign Affairs, Viola Onwuliri yesterday insisting that governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State must account for all the monies accrued from the federal government to the Imo State government.

Briefing Journalists yesterday at the state PDP secretariat in Owerri, Onwuliri said governor Okorocha has been receiving huge amount of money belonging to Imo State from the federal government without any serious thing to show for it.

“If the state government has denied federal government presence, the governor should account for all the money collected from the federal,” she said.

The Minister accused the governor of building uncompleted and nonfunctional hospitals in the 27 local government areas in the state, substandard road projects and owing of contractors.

She also cautioned the governor to desist from abusing President Jonathan saying President Jonathan has done well for the people of the state.

She said the governor has caused poverty in the state adding that the free education which the governor claimed he is running in the state is done by the federal government.

She alleged that the Imo people are yet to benefit from the federal government funds and international grants due to Okorocha’s lack of interest to partner with the federal government.

However, governor Okorocha in a media chat with members of the correspondents’ chapel said the PDP has nothing to show in the state having governed the state for 12 years adding that his administration within two and half years has transformed the state.
