The Kano State government yesterday dissolved the board of the Kano Pillars Football Club headed by Mallam Abba Yola, and constituted a new board to be headed by Arc. Ibrahim Haruna.

Announcing this in Kano yesterday, the Special Adviser to the state governor on Sports Development, Alhaji Ahmad Shuaibu Gara, said the new board was reconstituted following the failure of the last board to meet the state government’s expectation.

Gara alleged that the last board was insubordinate to constituted authority, lacked accountability and prudent management of public resources, as well as cooperation and synergy among the members.

Other member of the new board of directors of the club include Alhaji Garba Nuhu Danburan as vice chairman, while Alhaji Aminu Dan Amo, Alhaji Lawan Adda’u, Alhaji Sabo Abdullahi Kofar Mata, Alhaji Bashir Muazu, Alhaji Abubakar Naziru Aminu, Alhaji Kabiru Ali Dawaki, Alhaji Nasiru Garba Bichi and Alhaji Garba Umar to serve as members.

The new management committee of the club has Alhaji Umar Babangida Muhmad who replaces Abba Galadima as general manager, Kabiru Baleria team manager, Salisu Yaro, general coordinator, Okey Emordi, technical adviser, Dr. Ibn Garba Idris, medical officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa media officer, Muhammad I Abba licensing officer, CSP Shuaibu Bello chief security officer, Shehu Aliyu finance officer, Habibu Zubairu kit manager and Surajo Tudun Wada as secretary.

The Specials Adviser also said that the state government has directed the state accountant general to provide N100 million to the League Management Committee (LCM) as part of its requirements for registration for all premier clubs in the country.
