He said: “The war against illicit, fake hard and counterfeit drugs and abuse is a battle to finish. We will not relent, nor succumb to cheap blackmail now or ever in the crusade.”

Kwankwaso urged youths to be fully involved in the activities of the clubs so as to end the menace of drug abuse in the state.

The governor also appealed to wellmeaning individuals and groups to support the government to combat social evils and rehabilitate drug addicts.

“Our ability to compete and get our fair share in mixed and, unfortunately, loosely integrated country like Nigeria depends on your capabilities”, stated Kwankwaso, adding that the capability of the youths depended on their education, skills, hard work, patriotism and moral excellence.

In her speech, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Dr. Binta Tijjani Jibril explained that already, many students have registered with the YADA clubs established in 900 public schools and tertiary institutions.
