Police rescue abducted man in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command said at the weekend that it rescued a man who was abducted in Itas Gadau Local Government Area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, told newsmen yesterday in Bauchi that the victim, one Habu Yusuf of Unguwan Gambo in Itas Gadau Local Government Area, was abducted from his house by unknown persons on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

“As soon as the complaint was made, police detectives swung into action and on May, 2, at about 1:15pm, one Umar Mohd of Jama’are was arrested. The victim was rescued from an uncompleted building in Jama’are town. Investigation into the matter has commenced,” he said
