S/East govs urge FG to publish missing girls’ names

-

The South East Governors’ Forum yesterday advised the federal government to publish the identities of the abducted students in Chibok, Borno to expedite their search.

The governors gave the advice in a communiqué issued at the end of their meeting in Enugu, read by forum’s Chairman and Abia Governor, Chief Theodore Orji.

They sympathized with the families of the kidnapped students, and those of the Nyanya bomb blast.

The governors also condoled with the family of late Amb Ralph Uwechue, the immediate past President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, a pan Igbo cultural organisation.

The forum pledged to enhance security in the zone, saying it would do everything possible to maintain the low crime rate in the area. They resolved to push for a review of the sharing formular of the Value Added Tax (VAT) due to what it called “observed imbalances’’. (NAN)
