‘Yuguda should contest PDP presidential primaries’

Bauchi State governor Isa Yuguda should contest the People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries because he has performed, a group, Concerned Bauchi Professionals has said.

They said the governor “remains the most detribalized and has the principles and capacity to unite Nigerians in this trying period of insecurity, cultural and regional polarization.”

A statement by Dr. Muhammadu Chindo on behalf of the professionals said: “the entire North East region should rally round Governor Isa Yuguda to contest the PDP presidential primaries.”

“The governor has performed credibly to be the next president. “He achieved a lot in the areas of education, health, rural development, road construction and particularly human empowerment and capacity development with interventions and polices that reduces poverty and improved middle class standard of living,” the professionals said.

They said under his stewardship “Bauchi became the only state in Nigeria to offer employment to nonindigenes not on contract basis but full employment as indigenes enjoyed.”
