Only credible aspirants will be tolerated in 2015 - Dakingari
Governor Saidu Dakingari of Kebbi State has said only people with unquestionable character who have the zeal to serve the masses would be voted into political offices in the state.
The governor stated this when he granted audience to the executive members of Nasamu Gaskiya Youth Forum (NAGAYOFO) at the weekend in Birnin Kebbi.
“There is the need for members to ensure that only people with unquestionable character who have the zeal to serve the masses are voted into various political offices, exemplary leadership is key to societal development,” he said.
Dakingari commended the group for offering meaningful pieces of advice and suggestions that would help move the state forward.
“As part of this administration’s commitment to empower the people, the state government has procured 100 buses to ease transportation problem in addition to 2,500 Keke NAPEP, Power tillers, 13 Irrigation pumps, among others for distribution to people,” he added.
In his remarks, state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Mansir Mansa, extolled the leadership qualities of the governor in executing peoples oriented projects across the state.
Earlier in his speech, the state chairman of the Forum, Alh. Bashir Isah Mera, said they were in his office to show solidarity and unflinching support to his administration.
“Governor Dakingari has exhibited good leadership qualities in piloting the affairs of the state. Members of the Forum had embarked on statewide tour to mobile and sensitive the people on the achievements recorded by the governor,” he said.
