Online health services launched for Nigerians

A life-saving internet-based portal, designed to render services on drug prescripti­ons, nutritiona­l supplement­s, health foods, medical devices and immunisati­on counsellin­g have been launched for the Nigerian populace.

At a media briefing to herald the launch of the online portal in Lagos, the Managing Director of Megacare Limited, Mrs Olayinka Oredola said the health initiative was actually designed to give people quick access to health related products.

According to Oredola, the time has come for Nigeria to measure up to their counterpar­ts across the world by providing online health care services that are cheaper and easier to access for her teeming populace and it is that conviction that has inspired Megacare service to launch the online health platform.

“As part of our Corporate Social Responsibi­lity (CSR), we desire to redefine the healthcare service in Nigeria and to empower the sector to become fully compatible with her counterpar­ts in the developed countries. We all know how easy access to health related informatio­n and products could save many lives,” Oredola said.

Earlier in her welcome speech, the General Manager of Megacare, Mrs Nkem Chimezie said, with the new innovation, “we can now be in all homes and offices, everywhere in Nigeria at the click of a button. Our healthcare mart is a world class centre which offers up to 15,000 products spanning.
