‘Why PDP lost Imo governorship election in 2011’
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Emeka Ihedioha has blamed the failure of PDP to re-capture the governorship seat in Imo State in the 2011 governorship election to mischief and lies.
He stated this at a reception organized for him by the people of Isu Local Government Area of the state held at Amandugba Community School.
The deputy speaker who expressed satisfaction with the warm reception accorded him urged them to replicate it by voting him during the delegate election of the party based on his political antecedents.
He said from 1999 to date, he had been in government learning the rope and has remained one of the founding members and undisputable financial pillars of PDP in the state.
Ihedioha said he is the only man that can salvage Imo State and rebuild it with all his connections both within and outside the country if voted into power as the next governor of the state.
He said: ‘’if I become governor, I would attract unquantifiable facilities and positive development for the state.” He appealed to the people of Isu LGA to close ranks and support him to succeed at the delegate election assuring that he will not disappoint them.
Describing this period as a payback time, the lawmaker said he gave 100 percent support to the two former governors of the state, Chief Achike Udenwa and Chief Ikedi Ohakim, insisting that it beholds on them to support him this time around.
Speaking earlier, the member representing Nkwere/ Isu/Nwagele/Njaba federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Jones Onyereri used the forum to beckon on his people to support Ihedioha base on his leadership qualities.
