French embassy celebrates national day in Abuja
Nigerians again look forward to this year’s celebration of the French national day as last year’s occasion witnessed the official handover of artefacts of Nigerian origin intercepted in Paris.
Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Jacques Champagne de Labriolle in a statement by Christine Pagnusatt of the embassy said the day will be marked on July 14.
Called “Bastille Day” in English speaking countries, the French National Day commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution. On this day, celebrations are held all over France with military parade.
