Monitor the type of water you drink, FCT residents urged

A call has gone to Nigerians, especially those residing within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to always monitor the type of water they drink in order to avoid water related illness.

A distributor with Kangen Water Nigeria Limited, Ugo Emeka-Ebigbo, who made the call at a sensitisation programme for some residents, advised residents to do away with acidic water and strive to ensure they take water with alkaline bias.

She reminded them that human body is 75 percent water and constantly needs replenishment, adding that the body loses water through the lungs when breathing and also through urination, sweat and stooling.

“Taking just any type of water to replace lost water in the body has negative consequences on human health. Water with acidic content must be avoided as much as possible and substituted with alkaline water,’’ she advised.

Asked how to identify alkaline water, Ugo said an enagic water ionizer machine can be used to treat water from any source, with the result giving alkaline water that cure or prevent many ailments in the body.

She said the machine (Leveluk 501), which originated from Japan and can be gotten through Kangen water Nigeria, can help manage imaginable sickness from headache to cancer as well as create enabling environment for the body to repair itself.

She called on the government to integrate such policy of water treatment into the health care system.
