Deadlock over Buhari’s running mate
It’s a NO NO for Tinubu. I am a Muslim but I believe the VP slot has to be for Christians. I just consider how Muslims will feel if Jonathan makes a Christian his running mate. Despite that, nothing will make me vote for GEJ due to his failures.
Malalawan
malalawan@yahoo.com *************************** Buhari should be very careful in choosing his running mate. Let him consider person with integrity like himself, one that can add votes to APC, one that would be acceptable by all religions, all ethnic groups.
Samaila Sani Bauranya
ssamaila@fudutsinma.edu.ng *************************** I am sorry for APC, pairing Buhari with Tinubu will spell doom for the party. Firstly, Tinubu is finished politically in the South West.
Bolaji Dairo
bolajidairoblues@yahoo.com *************************** The choice is now to be made by Buhari. Please choose a Christian!
Musa Jibrin
musajibrinmallam@yahoo.com *************************** “Tinubu was unanimously adopted by the party’s South West caucus, to which the position was zoned”. This should have been long expected. When the merger talks were going on, the insistence of the North that the South-West concede the presidential ticket to the North worked in our favour. While the South-West were planning ahead for a time like this, we (the North) were for the moment. The SouthWest has a plan and they are only perfecting and showing it. What the South-West caucus has so far demonstrated in the unanimous adoption of one of their own is that they MUST be carried along in the scheme of things in this country. They see themselves first as SouthWesterners devoid of religious or ethnic inclinations. While they (South-West) planned this out long term we(North) had been plan less. All we wanted was just the presidential ticket. We have the presidential ticket; they are dictating the game.

My fear for APC has been Tinubu, he is ready to scuttle all the struggle because of his ambition. Why Muslim/Muslim ticket?
Otunba
bolamutt@yahoo.com *************************** Tinubu wants to be the VP, and anything short of it will make him run to Jonathan. It’s GEJ till 2019. Have a prosperous new year and Goodluck to Buhari.
Oris Akwed
orisakwed@yahoo.com Please, APC should tread with caution; don’t let this VP slot weaken your cohesion or blind your judgment to choose a Muslim/Muslim ticket which will give wrong impression to the Nigerian Christians. Choose from the South West to solidify your power there and close any chance for PDP to penetrate and choose a Muslim/Christian ticket to address the fears of the Christians.
Aliyu Muhammad
nassarawa2030@yahoo.com *************************** OK! Our politics cannot be separated from personality factor; it’s not always that people vote for political parties; sometimes they vote for personality. For example, without the Buhari factor, APC will die in the North West. Who do you think that position should go to in the South West? Tinubu... it’s not about religion. This is the reality of our national politics, and any party that ignores this fact does so at its own peril.
Ibrahim Shaba
ishaba80@yahoo.com *************************** I, being a Muslim, am not in support of this Muslim/ Muslim ticket. PDP is now seriously praying to see APC make that blunder; and they will start what they know best: ‘APC wants to Islamise Nigeria.’ Religion is a very, very sensitive issue in this country. Please APC, think very well, selfinterest should not derail this project.
Danladee
danladee@yahoo.co.uk *************************** The winning combination for APC is Buhari/Rochas period. If the party fails to adopt this formula the chance for winning the up-coming election is doubtful.
Dahiru
dahirugarba@yahoo.co.uk *************************** It will be unfair if our own brother and governor Rotimi Amaechi is edged out like this.
...After spending so much and even sacrificing his brotherhood for APC. So, what is APC telling us.
