Sambo deceiving Jonathan on votes - Shehu Sani

- From Christiana T. Alabi, Kaduna

Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State Comrade Shehu Sani said yesterday that Vice President Namadi Sambo is deceiving President Goodluck Jonathan with a vow to deliver two million votes from the state during 2015 presidential election.

Sani, while addressing leadership of Kaduna State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), described Sambo’s promise as a political swindle added that PDP would be wiped out of the state and country for inept leadership.

“We will make laws that will protect your union and general welfare. Vice President Sambo promised President Jonathan two million votes, where will he get the votes from? Nobody is against PDP or President Jonathan because of religion or region but because they have failed to deliver and Nigerians are tired of lies and deceit.

“PDP promised to revive our textiles but up till today, nothing has been done, instead, the problems persist. The country is characterised by insecurity, no cogent development, unemployment, crisis, poor health and education systems among other critical sectors,” the senatorial candidate said.

He added that the vice president has “relocated to Abuja forgetting the day of reckoning. Whenever he calls people to Abuja to deceive his boss, they wear clothes with Jonathan’s picture and portraits, but as soon as they come near Kaduna tollgate, they will change their clothes and immediately disassociate themselves from Jonathan. Is that not deceit? Why can’t they stand by what they believed in?” he said.
