Re: Don’t heat up polity - NOA tells politicians

The NOA DG Mike Omeri should not take Nigerians for fools! Was he not part of the plot to shift elections in order to give breathing space to a party on the verge of defeat? Is there anything that can heat up the polity more than this? Is he not deeply involved in the thickening plot to remove Jega to make room for a compliant and compromised umpire who would dismantle the electoral system put together by Jega and his team that has made rigging well-nigh impossible? Does Omeri think Nigerians really believe the childish propaganda he dishes out from time to time? Nigerians are wiser today. No amount of manipulation and false propaganda will deceive them again. Re: Segment of media downplaying military successes-DHQ

There is a basis for such media focus that General Olukolade complains of. What were our soldiers doing, when our people were being killed, rape and taken hostages in thousands? Propaganda? Where were there before the foreign troops arrived? Nigerians have been told many tales of Nigerian troops’ successes, only for the DHQ to issue statements later saying they had misspoken. lt is the Nigerian Army that’s creating its image problem by exaggerating many things. Re: We are set for polls, INEC says

With the assurance, political parties and candidates as major stakeholders in the electoral process should mobilize the remaining 20% of the electorate to collect their PVCs within the remaining three days allowed for that purpose. With the improvement in security situation in the North East, we pray no reason would ever suffice to warrant further postponement. INEC should not be distracted by calls for change in its leadership and should demonstrate its readiness to successfully conduct the elections and win people’s confidence. That’s very correct; and they won’t fall either if Jonathan loses in the election! M Salisu, Bauchi, +2348138172743

JAMB’s 2015 UTME

With the ongoing uncertainty of candidates, it looks like government and its agencies do whatever they like and give no damn. JAMB’s computer-based test (CBT) is not working, won’t work and cannot work. JAMB should get ready to repay fees with accrued interests and also pay for collateral damage. The Prof Dibu Ojerinde-led JAMB has outlived its usefulness and relevance; it ought to be shoved aside.
