APC reps candidate appeals for calm

- By Balarabe Alkassim

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives’ candidate for Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State, Abubakar Sarki Dahiru, has called on his supporters to remain calm ahead of the rescheduled election in the area.

The election was declared inconclusive by the INEC because of some irregularities witnessed at Chiroma Ward.

Dahiru asked his supporters to ignore the rumours from his rival of the PDP, Dauda Kigbu, that the PDP won the election only to be denied victory by INEC.

The APC candidate described the rumours as unhealthy, saying that it was capable of causing crisis in the area.

Dahiru appreciated the people of his constituency, particularly traditional rulers, party leaders and the youth for keeping peace in the area.

He appealed to them to remain patient and await a new date for the rescheduled election to cast their votes.
