Power supply, big challenge to industries –Industrialist
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Printbest Enterprises, a registered printing press, Alhaji Musbau Olaniyi has said poor power supply is a big challenge confronting the printing industries and other businesses in Nigeria.
Speaking with Daily Trust shortly after the commissioning of the corporate headquarters of the company sited in the ancient community of Offa, Kwara State, Alhaji Olaniyi lamented that companies spend huge amount of money running generating sets for 24 hours.
He advised the government to address the challenge of inadequate electricity supply to support the growth of industries in Nigeria.
The structure described as the biggest printing press in Kwara State was commissioned by the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi with the support of other traditional rulers in the state.
According to the MD, the company which was founded in Kaduna in 2010, had its headquarters relocated to Offa to empower the youth of the community and its environs.
He described the commissioning as a milestone that has been achieved in the community in terms of job creation and empowerment of youths through the apprenticeship scheme designed by the company.
He urged the youths to take advantage of the opportunity to carve a niche for themselves, saying not all the youths could get government employment.
The monarch called on wealthy individuals in the community both home and abroad to invest in the ancient city by establishing industries and companies to provide employment for the teeming unemployed youths of Offa.
In his lecture, the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muyideen Husayn, urged the people of the community to love the ancient city and make significant impact towards its growth and development.
